eTwinning
eTwinning users can access a free online
workspace dedicated to registered schools in Europe.
Once registered you can join an online community of
teachers, and use the forums and other powerful community
tools. As soon as you agree a partnership you can use the
Twinspace to organise collaborative projects between your pupils
and students across Europe.
It includes:
- Partner-finding allowing you to find a partner
within Europe who wishes to collaborate on a project with
you.
- Twinspace is a virtual classroom you can use as a base for all
communication and project activities, a showcase of project
outcomes, or simply a location to store all documentation.
- Chat and Forums allow both real-time and delayed communication
so that you can discuss ideas with potential or current
partners.
- eMail allows you to privately contact anyone within the
eTwinning network.
- Blog lets you keep everyone within eTwinning up-to-date on your
activities and encourages feedback and participation.
Features
- Regular workshops and training events are held
in each country and there are opportunities to travel to other
countries to participate in professsional development
seminars.
- National Support Services in each country
provide excellent support for all users of eTwinning.
- All eTwinning users are verified by their
National Support Service, so you know you are talking to a real
teacher.
- Use the Twinspace to upload Word documents and
Power Points up to 5MB in size and store up to 100MB.
- Upload audio, video and image files.
- Arrange meetings for teachers and students to
use in real time.
