Healthy schools
Many schools are keen to link on a theme of
food itself – which includes better understanding of the growing,
production, distribution and trade of food globally.
Food and nutrition
Sharing recipes and comparing traditional dishes with a link school
is fun and you can dispel the myths that Britain’s favourite food
is the Cornish Pasty by looking at identity and diversity through
what’s cooking around your locality. Link schools often have
information and recipes to share.

Food, fairtrade and enterprise
Many schools are engaged by the Fairtrade agenda. Many schools
want to tackle this as part of their enterprise curriculum and have
already looked at running a Fairtrade tuck shop etc. Could
this be broadened into projects where the children source
Fairtrade sports kits or school uniform items. The curriculum is
interested in defining market demand, sourcing, costing, making,
manufacture, practice, transportation, promotion, selling. More>>>
