Themes and Subjects

International activities can involve one or more subjects, i.e. they can be cross-curricular. The examples of the international activities below have been taken from the action plans of the schools that applied for the Full ISA. Even if these international activities have been categorised by different subjects, most of them are cross-curricular.

Active citizenship: Fair trade and human rights

Creativity: Music, drama and performance

Cultural diversity: Faiths, festivals and community languages in the UK

Enterprise: Project management, or international business and the global economy

Global Dimension: Awareness of global issues

Healthy eating: Food, where it comes from and how it is prepared

Languages and cultures: Using links to support the languages strategy

Media and technology: Other countries and other viewpoints
