Introduction
This section is designed to help school
leaders, governors, local authorities, subject advisors
and SIPs to play a role in guiding and supporting how
schools develop their international activities.
Head teachers who are developing an extended strategy that
involves their community, or working with other local schools, can
find a lot of support here for the international dimension.

Dear
Liz and Diane
Many thanks for your help and support with the workshop -
both in preparation and during the workshop. All 13 schools
successfully accessed the ISA area and all applied for either
Foundation or Intermediate, with several of them also action
planning for the Full Award. Best wishes, Hazel Hazel

Liz!
The spreadsheets are marvellous. I can see exactly how all the
schools in Lincolnshire are getting on with the ISA and it's
easy to see who to contact.

School linking by area
NEW DCSF grants are available for groups
of teachers and area coordinators in England and Wales to
visit partner schools and plan future joint curriculum projects. A
strategic area link may be between a local authority, an
education action zone or a cluster of schools working with an
equivalent grouping overseas. In France, Spain and China, areas can
be identified and links set up.

Comenius
NEW Through Comenius Regio, EU grants are
available of up to €45,000 for a local authority to link

community establishments.
