Re-accreditation

The Full International School Award is valid for a 3 year period. After 2 years, the school will need to apply for re-accreditation to ensure the continuity of the Award. For example, if your school was awarded the 2008 ISA, you would need to submit your action plan during the 2010 autumn term, for activities taking place in the 2010-2011 school year. The exact deadline will be confirmed on the website closer to the time. If your portfolio is successful, you will be accredited for 2011-2014.

The re-accreditation process is very straightforward; like your initial application it consists of two parts, the action plan and the portfolio. The activities you include need not be completely new – if you have an annual event, continuing information exchange with a partner school, or projects undertaken yearly, you can include these as part of your full award application. However, it is always very useful to look for new ways to develop and enhance your international activities when applying for re-accreditation.
