ISA - The Future

Thanks for your  interest in the consultation exercise we are running on ISA - The Future.

Teachers tell us they want more opportunities to share with and learn from other teachers doing international work. So we’d like to offer a way for teachers to tap more directly into the great work going on in each other’s schools, a place where they can bounce ideas off each other, swap resources and shout when they need help or advice.

This online consultation exercise will be about:
1  how ICT can be best used to build and enrich partnerships
2  how teachers can best share their experiences and practice
3  how to support teachers who are starting the ISA

We already work with hundreds of experienced teachers, important support networks and project facilitators. Every month over 200 UK schools register for Global Gateway or the ISA – it’s a rapidly expanding community and we’d like teachers to be able to meet virtually and find ideas and practical support.

With the continuing support of the DCSF and with your valuable help, we want to extend the Global Gateway partnerfinding service into a more dynamic process to include online introductions for partner schools, advice forums and accessible opportunities for curriculum projects.

You must be a teacher. We are inviting any teacher who has piloted their school to ISA Intermediate or above to participate. In addition to that, we’d like to include teachers with experiences they would like to share of using ICT to support and develop their school partnership(s).

Your school will need to be registered on the ISA or the Global Gateway - if you are not sure whether it is, or if you are not sure if your name is on the school record, please contact liz.hitchcock@britishcouncil.org or ring 020 7389 4817.

All schools present at the ISA Ten Year Celebration event, and all other invited participants, can get started easily by clicking ENTER, then activating their forum account using the email provided to the organisers of this event, or the email used in their ISA or Global Gateway logins.

Your email address is secure and will not appear on the forum. Technical support (eg if you want to change this email or need other assistance) is provided, but if you have any queries please email Liz.
